Experience a journey through our nation's path to freedom as you view the Freedom Shrine, a collection of 28 of our nation's most powerful documents in history that have paved the path to the Freedoms we enjoy. Displayed are photographs of the actual document including the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, WWII Instruments of Surrender, Roosevelt's Four Freedoms Speech and many more.

Lewis and Clark's Missouri, on loan from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Travel the path of Discovery from Missouri to Oregon. On exhibit through August 2008.

Thank you Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum and Home for the Journey of a Pioneer Family story panels traveling exhibit that visited June 7 - July 31, 2008. It was a well attended exhibition. We look forward to welcoming the exhibit back in 2009.
Picturing America - an exhibit of 40 prints of great American works of art will open at the museum in September. Received through a grant from the National Endowment to the Humanities, this initiative was launched by First Lady Laura Bush, at the White House in February 2008. A complete educational program which includes art history, fine arts, American history, social studies, and language and communication skills accompanies the program. Watch our calendar for scheduled educational and cultural programs that complement this exhibit.
